Notification about upgrades to firmware Version 21.0 affecting Wi-Fi 7 access points

Customers using SSIDs with the 802.11be protocol enabled and upgrading their access points to firmware version 21.0 must ensure that all radios broadcasting the SSID also have the 802.11be protocol enabled.

Starting with EOS 4.35.0F, SwitchApp interfaces with IPv4 ACLs containing TCP flag matching will be errdisabled on upgrading. This behavior is expected when upgrading any 7130 platform to EOS 4.35.0F from any other EOS version.

This notice serves to inform you that new Redirector IP addresses will be added to the existing Redirector IP addresses list from 15th December 2025.  We advise to add the new IP addresses after 15th December 2025 for uninterrupted operations.

Arista will also discontinue some of the older Redirector IP addresses due to operational reasons from 15th January 2026. Customers are requested to delete the discontinued IP addresses from their firewalls after 15th January 2026.

In on-prem CloudVison clusters running an affected software release, the reverse proxy may not be able to serve any http2/grpc requests, which may prevent login to the CVP UI as well as loading of various pages in the UI.

In on-prem CloudVision clusters running an affected software release, a bug in disk management may result in increased disk usage and reduced performance over time depending on the volume of device streaming data. Once disk usage reaches 85%, all device streaming would be disabled.

The 22.0 release (tentatively targeted for Q1 of 2026) will be the last supported Access Point software for the Arista AP platforms mentioned above. New features that become available in releases post 22.0 will not be available for these platforms.
