This advisory is applicable only to customers using on-premises Wireless Manager.

From CloudVision Cognitive Unified Edge (CV-CUE) release 14.0 onwards, on-premises Wireless Manager (WM) deployments need to use a 3-node CVP cluster that brings increased scalability, improved performance and new features. Customers using an on-premises WM server will need to migrate to a 3-node CloudVision (CVP) cluster with WM as a container.

Deferral of EOS releases

EOS releases 4.29.0F and 4.29.0.1F have been deferred for all supported platforms due to software defects 737018 and 740726 respectively.

Note: This advisory applies only to Arista APs running in WIPS-only mode.

Arista WIPS sensors (i.e. Arista APs in WIPS-only mode) running on firmware versions 11.x or 12.x were observed to be broadcasting an SSID even when no SSIDs were configured on these devices. This could lead to these APs being classified as Rogue.

Arista CCS-720XP and CCS-722XPM systems with PWR-1021-AC-RED require a new minimum version of EOS to support the latest power supply hardware versions. Systems and spares received as replacement via RMA may also require the new minimum version of EOS and should not be downgraded to earlier versions of EOS.
