This feature introduces the show bgp evpn sanity ( brief | detail )command. This command displays which EVPN configuration attributes are inconsistent as well as potential errors in the EVPN operational state.

This document is an extension to the Decap Group feature that allows IPv6 addresses to be configured and used as part of a decap group. Now we will be able to configure IPv6 prefixes as a decap group. Tunneled packets with IPv6 destination matching to a configured prefix decap group will be decapsulated and forwarded based on the inner header. IP-in-IP tunnel type will be supported for prefix based decap groups.

This document describes the prefix counter feature and is intended for customers who are familiar with and are using VRF selection policies (see linked TOI for details). In short, the prefix counter feature enables traffic matching a VRF selection policy to be counted on a per-prefix/per-route basis. This is limited to IPv4 traffic and prefixes of length 32.

A remark is a user specified comment that is written within an IP prefix-list. Remarks allow documentation to be added directly into the configuration of an IP prefix-list. Both IPv4 and IPv6 prefix-lists are supported.

Previously, when both “ipv6 nd proxy prefix connected” and VXLAN is configured for a VLAN interface, and the router received a Neighbor solicitation (NS) with an IPv6 address within the connected prefix of the router, the router replied with the interface physical (or virtual-router if VARP is configured) mac address as long as the NS is received on a local (front-panel) port. This feature extends the behavior to also include the NS received from the VXLAN tunnel.
