End of Availability for VeloCloud Security VNF Services PDF

Arista Networks is announcing that the Security VNF Services feature in SD-WAN software is entering the final phase of its product lifecycle. This notification applies to all deployment models of VNF Services, including Checkpoint Firewall, Fortinet Firewall and Palo Alto Networks Firewall through the SD-WAN subscription service offerings.

Customers running any of the Security VNF partner solutions including Checkpoint Firewall, Fortinet Firewall and Palo Networks Firewall should work with their Arista sales team to discuss upgrade options to VeloCloud Enhanced Firewall Services.

The table shows the important milestones and dates:
 
  1. 5.2.x will be the last limited supported version for VNF. VNF End-of-Support coincides with the 5.2.x release end of support timing (Feb 28, 2027).
     
  2. Note:  Limited support means that only critical bug fixes will be provided, and there will be no feature enhancements.

VeloCloud by Arista combines its industry-leading SD-WAN technology with integrated security via Enhanced Firewall Services to offer a comprehensive and high-performing SASE architecture. Enhanced Firewall Services EFS) include advanced threat protection capabilities such as IDS/IPS, URL Filtering and Malicious IP Filtering services. EFS is included in SD-WAN Premium V2 license. In addition, customers can purchase EFS as a standalone add-on for use with VeloCloud SD-WAN Standard and Enterprise subscription editions.
