Configuring RSVP-TE P2MP
RSVP-TE P2MP adds support for Point-to-Multipoint (P2MP) LSPs. RSVP P2MP functionality is
enabled by entering the P2MP
submode.
switch# config
switch(config)# mpls rsvp
switch(config-mpls-rsvp)# no shutdown
switch(config-mpls-rsvp)# p2mp
switch(config-mpls-rsvp-p2mp)#
P2MP functionality can be disabled by issuing the disabled command in
the P2MP submode.
switch(config-mpls-rsvp-p2mp)# disabled Alternatively, the submode can be removed altogether to disable P2MP functionality. Note
that this will also remove any existing configuration under the p2mp submode.
switch(config-mpls-rsvp-p2mp)# exit
switch(config-mpls-rsvp)# no p2mp
P2MP Limitations
- Fixed filter RSVP reservation style is not supported.
- LSP Ping/Traceroute is not supported.
- Fast Reroute node-protection is not supported.
- Graceful restart and hitless restart are not supported.
- The ID and destination filters are not supported for filtering P2MP sessions in the show mpls rsvp session. If any of these are specified, then no P2MP sessions will be shown.
