Arista 7060X and 7260X Series Introduction

The Arista 7060X and 7260X Series are the benchmark for performance, scale and power efficiency in fixed configuration data center switches. Increased performance and widespread adoption of 10G and 25G servers is accelerating the need for flexible, dense 100GbE and 40GbE solutions that accommodate abroad range of interface speeds. The Arista 7060X and 7260X Series extends the industry leading fixed configuration 7050X Series with increased performance, scalability, density and features designed for software driven cloud networking.

7060X and 7260X Deployment Flexibility

The Arista 7060X and 7260X Series are a range of compact 1RU and 2RU 100GbE and 40GbE wire speed, low latency and scalable multilayer switches powered by Arista EOS, the worlds most advanced network operating system. The 7060X Series is available in a choice of five models:
  • 7060CX2 Series - 40GbE/100GbE connectivity via QSFP100 interfaces
  • 7060SX2 Series - 10GbE/25GbE connectivity via SFP interfaces along with QSFP100 interfaces
  • 7060CX Series - 40GbE/100GbE connectivity via QSFP100 interfaces
  • 7260QX Series - 40GbE connectivity via QSFP+ interfaces

Arista EOS

Arista EOS is a modular switch operating system with a unique state sharing architecture that cleanly separates switch state from protocol processing and application logic. Built on top of a standard Linux kernel, all EOS processes run in their own protected memory space and exchange state through an in-memory database. This multi-process state sharing architecture provides the foundation for in-service-software updates and self-healing resiliency.
