Switch Indicators
Front panel LEDs are located on the right side of the front panel and display system, fan, and power supply status. Appendix D displays the front panels of all switches covered by this guide.
Figure B-1 displays the DCS-7010T-48 front panel LEDs.

Green | All power supplies and fans are operating normally. | |
Blue | The locator function is active. | |
Red | Is in a failed state. | |
Fan Status | Green | Fan is operating normally. |
Red | Fan is not inserted or has failed. | |
Power Supply 1 Status Power Supply 2 Status | Off | Power supply is not powered or has failed. |
Green | Power supply operating normally. |
Port Indicators
Port LEDs, located in the vicinity of their corresponding ports, provide link and operational status. Figure B-2 displays the Port LED location on the DCS-7010T-48 switch. Appendix D displays the port LED locations of all switches covered by this guide.

Table B-2 provides status conditions that correspond to port LED states. Port LED behavior for SFP+ and 100/1000 Base-T ports is consistent.
LED State | Status |
Off | Port link is down. |
Green | Port link is up. |
Yellow | Port is software disabled. |
Flashing Yellow | Port failed diagnostics. |
Fan Module Indicator
Fan module indicators are viewed from the rear panel. The fan module contains an LED that reports module status. The Fan Status LED is on the fan module, as displayed in Figure B-3.
Appendix E displays the Fan Status LED locations of all switches covered by this guide.

Table B-3 provides status conditions that correspond to fan status LED states.
LED State | Status |
Off | The fan module is inserted but not receiving power – it may not be properly seated. |
Green | The fan is operating normally. |
Red | The fan has failed. |
Flashing Green | The switch is booting. |
